description
Welcome to Basingstoke is a tense roguelike that mixes stealth and arcade action. Explore the post-apocalyptic ruins of Basingstoke, a besieged English town where reanimated undead and ferocious alien monsters roam! Sneak through the smouldering streets and buildings, scavenge as you go, and craft equipment to help you in your mission. Can you escape from Basingstoke?
features
-
Scavenge and craft! Use stealth to sneak, weapons to attack, or if things get a bit much, hide in a wheelie bin. But be careful: one bite and you'll be ripped apart to become a tasty snack for the hordes of undead monsters! Violence is your last resort; sneaking, skullduggery, and ambush are your best tactics!
-
Unlockable Characters! As you progress you'll unlock new characters. Start as a Tourist and capture those special moments with your selfie stick, or play as the Thief and use your locksmith gadget to crack security panels and safes. Each character has specialist equipment, unique crafting recipes... and hats!
-
Procedural Generation! Welcome to Basingstoke’s levels are a mix of hand-crafted and procedurally-generated features. Enjoy the many attractions that Basingstoke has to offer: quaff a swift half in the Red Lion, enjoy a stroll around the Underground station, or take an unforgettable tour of the local museum. No two games are quite the same!
-
Campaign Mode! A tense, stealthy campaign across 12 epic levels, starting at OmniCorp HQ and across the ruins of Basingstoke to the M3 Services near Woking. Pick a character, then head out into the wilds using stealth, cunning, and an armful of sausage rolls to outwit the malevolent zombified citizens of Basingstoke!
-
Tackle The Horde! A completely separate game mode with local and online global leaderboards. Pick a character with a specific loadout, choose a map, and see how long you can survive against ever-hungrier incursions of Basingtoke's finest citizens! No stealth, no freeze-time… and nowhere to hide!
